Global Production Assistant

Looking for a Super Turtle who can work effectively with vendors around the world on costing, quality, and product specifications; process and expedite purchase and production orders; work with our Logistics Turtle to coordinate overseas shipments; accurately process bills of material and cost cards in our inventory management system; and stay current on US import requirements. This is just for starters! You will work collaboratively with various Turtle departments in our fast-paced environment. You must multi task, communicate clearly and effectively, process mountains of work accurately and think creatively to identify and solve inefficiencies. Director of Product Development

Turtle Fur, the industry leading Vermont based outdoor and snow sports headwear and accessory brand seeks a dynamic idea driven, fanatically organized individual to head up our design team and spearhead Turtle Fur’s expansion into new products and markets.
This position is based at the Turtles' Nest in Morrisville, Vermont.

Expectations

  • -Expand the brand
  • -Design salable, profitable product
  • -Manage design department
  • -Hats and accessories background a plus

  • -Manage multi-season/multi-market product line development
  • -Achieve goal of 50% of sales in three years to be derived from new product
  • -Collaborate product directions in conjunction with sales team and marketing team
  • -Stay abreast of current trends; share customer and market perspectives on a regular basis
  • -Demonstrate strong leadership and excel at interpersonal communication with all levels of the organization
  • -Build constructive and effective relationships with peers, vendors, and industry partners
  • -Collaborate with manufacturing on vendor re-source, calendar, and costing strategies to facilitate production planning
  • -Existing sourcing relationships a plus

Independent Spring-Summer Outdoor Reps

Turtle Fur, the iconic snow sports and outdoor headwear and accessory company doing business under the brands Turtle Fur, FU-R Headwear, and Vermont Originals, is seeking new RepTurtles for the Spring and Summer Outdoor Markets in the following territories:

  • -New England (ME, NH, RI, Eastern MA)
  • -New York & Mid-Atlantic (NY, PA, MD, DE, DC, VA, WY)
  • -Midwest (MO, NE, KS)

As an ambassador for Turtle Fur, your first and foremost responsibility will be to represent Turtle Fur with the integrity and professionalism we are known for worldwide and to build dramatically upon our 30+ years of success.

Turtle Fur has now evolved into a 4-season brand and our Spring-Summer line is an assortment of technical, lifestyle, and fashion accessories catering to the Outdoor market.

The ideal candidate is a relentless sales professional who approaches every appointment with excitement about the brands, the product, and with a well-thought-out game plan for that customer. This person (or group) loves what they do, loves to visit dealers in their stores, understands the market and is excited with new product, markets and opening new doors.

Qualifications

  • -Currently sells soft lines to Outdoor dealers
  • -Travels the territory extensively
  • -Attends regional rep shows for both outdoor and buying groups
  • -Attends national trade shows including Summer OR
  • -Proficient in Excel
  • -Ability to make (Women’s, Men’s and Kids) recommendations and write orders for customers as needed
  • -Stays connected to accounts and targets throughout the year
  • -Knows the account base in the territory while constantly looking for new opportunities

Expectations

  • -Actively sell and service new and existing accounts
  • -Present the line to all accounts and gain placement in dealer assortments for 2016
  • -Maintain consistent communication with both sales management and customer service throughout the year on a very timely basis
  • -Continually invest in your business
  • -Provide feedback and insight from the field to sales management and product development
  • -Submit seasonal sales plan and review with Sales Management

Independent Fish & Game Reps

Turtle Fur, the iconic snow sports, outdoor, and hunting headwear and accessory company doing business under the brands Turtle Fur, FU-R Headwear, and Vermont Originals, is seeking new independent reps for the Fish & Game Markets for All US Territories.

Turtle Fur’s recent evolution into a 4-season company has created new opportunities in the Hunting and Fishing markets. Last year, we merged the 20 year history of Nordic Gear in the hunting market with the brand strength and technical product of the Turtle Fur brand by creating our new Turtle Fur Fish & Game collection. The Spring-Summer Fish & Outdoor collection and our Fall-Winter Fish & Game collection are based upon our tremendously successful Comfort Shell ™ fabric, and our newly created Sun Shell™ fabric. These collections will expand over the next few years into a full technical, lifestyle and fashion headwear line catering to the fishing and hunting markets.

  • -Knows the account base in the territory while constantly looking for new opportunities

  • -Actively sell and service new and existing accounts
  • -Double the sales in territory within two years with existing dealers and new
  • -Maintain consistent communication with both sales management and customer service throughout the year on a very timely basis
