Where is your hometown?
Free State, South Africa
Where do you currently reside?
What are your favorite ways to spend time outside?
Hiking is my first love. I also enjoy running and camping.
What is your most beloved piece of Turtle Fur gear?
My Turtle Fur beanie. I have never been able to find a warm beanie that fit perfectly for my head. I shave the sides of my head all the time and wearing a hat with an extra layer in the winter is a bonus.
What Turtle Fur product comes with you on every adventure, and why?
Upper half headbands are my favorite to carry all the time – they are versatile.
What is your most cherished outdoor memory?
My most cherished outdoor memory would be the first time I took a hike alone in Utah. Figuring out the map and learning a new trail, being in nature, and enjoying the fresh air. Nothing mattered that day, except being out there.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be, and why?
I would go backpacking in Peru. It’s a dream of mine to spend days trekking and exploring a new country.
What is your day job?
Children’s book author.
What personal accomplishment are you most proud of?
Self-publishing my first children's book about hiking.
Two truths and a lie:
I speak 7 languages.
I have been to jail for street fighting.
I had 2 car accidents within 7 days of having my first car.
Where should people go if they want to follow along on your adventures?
