Novie McCabe
Introducing Novie McCabe! This xc skier means business, having made her Olympic debut in Beijing in 2022. She's a student-athlete at the University of Utah and when she's not on skis or in the classroom, you can find her doing any number of other outdoor adventures.

Winthrop, WA
Where do you currently reside?
Salt Lake City, UT
What are your favorite ways to spend time outside?
I really love being outside in general, but skiing is definitely my favorite thing to do outdoors.
What is your most beloved piece of Turtle Fur gear?
Growing up i was on the Methow Valley Nordic Team, and we used to get turtle fur neck warmers if we were on the team. I still have and love all of them!
What Turtle Fur product comes with you on every adventure, and why?
This would once again have to be of the active performance neck gaiters, they are the perfect balance between being cozy and not too constricting!
What is your most cherished outdoor memory?
I have so many that its hard to choose! But growing up in the Methow Valley I started cross country skiing at a very young age and I think some of my best memories come from skiing in the valley with my friends, and also traveling to some super cool places like Silver Star BC and going on long adventure skis.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be, and why?
I feel like I've been lucky enough to do a lot of traveling in Europe for races in the past few years, so I would really love to mix things up and visit South America, maybe Peru or Chile.
What is your day job?
I am a student athlete at University of Utah, and am also on the U.S. Cross Country Ski Team.
What personal accomplishment are you most proud of?
I would probably say making the last Olympic team, because that had been a goal of mine for as long as I can remember, but I am equally proud of setting and reaching some smaller goals on the way to qualifying for the team.
Two truths and a lie:
I had three tortoises as pets growing up.
I'm pretty decent at unicycling.
I once balanced on a yoga ball for an hour.
