Receptionist/Customer Service

Well, it’s happened again! Our Receptionist Turtle has transferred to another turtle department and we need a new shell at the front desk to manage incoming calls, greet visitors, and assist our Customer Service Reps with any number of different projects. You must be pleasant, upbeat, possess solid technology skills (good Excel skills a must) and function well in a fast paced environment.

National Accounts Sales Turtle

Turtle Fur® a leader in cold weather hats and accessories in the outdoor, snowsports and fashion markets is expanding into a 4-season brand and seeks a fulltime National Accounts Sales Turtle to both expand sales within existing customers across all distribution channels as well as actively develop new lasting account relationships.

You must be a natural salesperson, well spoken, very organized, well liked by others, and personable on the phone and in person. This position is perfect for a hungry, hard working self-starter as our brands have tremendous room for growth. Established accessory buyer relationships a plus. This position reports to the Director of Sales.

Be savvy with current technology, Microsoft products and social media tools essential. Some travel is required. The position has a base salary plus commission with full company benefits and is based at the Turtles’ Nest in Morrisville, Vermont.

Digital Marketing Manager

Turtle Fur® a leader in cold weather hats and accessories in the outdoor, snowsports and fashion markets is expanding into a 4-season brand and seeks an experienced, creative, digital marketing person responsible for driving revenue by creating and implementing merchandising, promotional campaigns and content for B2C and B2B.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the ecommerce marketing efforts and assist with the wholesale marketing efforts as part of the marketing team and share in the continued evolution of the Turtle Fur brand voice.
  • Responsible for driving revenue by creating, implementing and maintaining online content, merchandising for B2C and B2B, promotional campaigns, and tracking the results of these efforts.
  • Create and implement public relations campaigns across website, blog, social media, and affiliates.
  • Work with graphics and operations to develop the website changes and marketing materials to support the objectives.
  • Drive online traffic and revenue through email marketing, PLA & PPC campaigns, display advertising and all other brand appropriate initiatives.
  • Oversee the creation of press releases and/or pitches for communication initiatives.
  • Grow the company's fan base on social media (including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest) while assessing new channels for value and potential.
  • Actively pitch key websites and online/social influencers and develop partnerships and strategic relationships with external sources to grow wholesale and retail sales and the brand.
  • Manage external partners to drive business results and coordinate activities to maximize the effectiveness of promotions and consumer communications.
Requirements:
  • Must be both a team player, a self motivator with excellent creative writing skills.
  • Must have hands on experience managing the marketing for a successful B2C e-commerce site
  • Must have a thorough understanding of the current e-commerce marketplace including macro trends, major players by industry and best practices.
  • Must have familiarity with web technologies, web page design/layout, HTML/CSS, PPC, PLA, SEO, and A/B Testing, SEO, Google Analytics, web site performance measurement tools Photoshop and Indesign.

Independent Snow & Outdoor Reps

The Turtle Fur Group, the iconic snowsports and outdoor headwear and accessory company doing business under the brands Turtle Fur, FU-R Headwear, and Vermont Originals, is seeking new RepTurtles for the Snow and Outdoor Markets.

As an ambassador for the Turtle Fur Group, your first and foremost responsibility will be to represent the Turtle Fur Group with the integrity and professionalism we are known for worldwide and to build dramatically upon our 30+ years of success.

The Turtle Fur Group’s 3-year goal is to evolve into 4-season brands. In June 2013, to compliment our Fall-Winter collections, Turtle Fur will be introducing an all new Turtle Fur Spring-Summer Fish & Outdoor Collection based upon our tremendously successful Comfort Shell ™ line. This collection will expand over the next few years into a full technical, lifestyle and fashion headwear line catering to the outdoor market.

The ideal candidate is a relentless sales professional who approaches every appointment with excitement about the brands, the product, and with a well-thought-out game plan for that customer. This person (or group) loves what they do, loves to visit dealers in their stores, understands the market and is excited with new product, markets and opening new doors.


Qualifications:
- Currently calls on Snowsports and Outdoor dealers.
- Travels the territory extensively.
- Attends regional rep shows for both snowsports, outdoor, and buying groups.
- Attends national trade shows including SIA and winter and Summer OR.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Ability to make (Women’s, Men’s and Kids) recommendations and write orders for customers as needed.
- Stays connected to accounts and targets throughout the year.
- Knows the account base in the territory while constantly looking for new opportunities.


Expectations:
- Actively sell and service new and existing accounts.
- Double the sales in territory within two years with existing dealers and new.
- Maintain consistent communication with both sales management and customer service throughout the year on a very timely basis.
- Continually invest in your business.
- Provide feedback and insight from the field to sales management and product development.
- Submit seasonal sales plan and review with Sales Management.
- Attend sales meetings.
- Meet deadlines.
