Director of Product Development

Responsibilities:
- Collaboratively manage design department.
- Manage multi-season/multi-market product line development.
- Design salable, profitable product.
- Achieve company goal of 50% of sales in three years to be derived from new products.
- Stay abreast of current trends; share customer and market perspectives on a regular basis.
- Continue expansion into 4-season brand.
- Help increase sales and improve margins.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and excel at interpersonal communication with all levels of the organization.
- Build constructive and effective relationships with peers, vendors, and industry partners.
- Collaborate with manufacturing vendors, calendar and costing strategies to facilitate production planning.
- Existing sourcing relationships, a plus.
- Sales analytics.
- Oversee product quality, fit, and construction.
- Foster a team environment with strong free flowing communication.
- System and computer literate.
- Some travel: trade shows, Asia, the world.

Global Production Assistant

Looking for our new Super Turtle to: Work effectively with vendors around the world on costing, quality, and product specifications; process and expedite purchase and production orders; work with our Logistics Turtle to coordinate overseas shipments; accurately process bills of material and cost cards in our inventory management system; and stay current on US import requirements. This is just for starters!
You will work collaboratively with various Turtle departments in our fast paced environment. You must multi task, communicate clearly and effectively, process mountains of work accurately and think creatively to identify and solve inefficiencies. Experience with business computing software is a huge plus. Speed and competency with Excel is required.

Headwear Designer

The Creative Team at Turtle Fur, a leader in headwear and cold weather accessories for over 30 years, is searching for an additional Designaturtle to join us at the Turtles’ Nest (our home office in Morrisville, Vermont). The ideal candidate will possess inspiring creativity, a love for the outdoors, and an impressive work ethic.

Responsibilities:
-Create New Designs
-Make spec packs for development of prototypes
-Perform in-depth market research and trend analysis

Requirements:
-A self-motivated team player
-A minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
-Be well versed in all aspects of knitwear, cut and sew construction, and technical accessory design
-Degree in Apparel Design or Fine Arts preferable

Graphic/Creative Designer

The Marketing Team at Turtle Fur, a leader in headwear and cold weather accessories for over 30 years, is searching for a Graphic Designer to join us at the Turtles’ Nest (our home office in Morrisville, Vermont). The ideal candidate will possess an Associate or Bachelors degree in graphic design, communication or related area of study, and 2-4 years of design experience. You must be highly skilled in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Bridge, Lightroom, Acrobat Pro. Knowledge of web design (HTML, CSS), video production, and social media is required, and be comfortable working with Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook with familiarity working on a PC platform.

As a designer you should have experience following brand standards and be comfortable generating and contributing to creative ideas, as well as giving and receiving constructive criticism. Must be well-versed in preparing artwork for final production (print & web) and have abundant creativity coupled with the desire to explore visual ideas and brand focused storytelling, a love for the outdoors, and an impressive work ethic.

Independent Snow & Outdoor Reps

The Turtle Fur Group, the iconic snowsports and outdoor headwear and accessory company doing business under the brands Turtle Fur, FU-R Headwear, and Vermont Originals, is seeking new RepTurtles for the Snow and Outdoor Markets.

As an ambassador for the Turtle Fur Group, your first and foremost responsibility will be to represent the Turtle Fur Group with the integrity and professionalism we are known for worldwide and to build dramatically upon our 30+ years of success.

The Turtle Fur Group’s 3-year goal is to evolve into 4-season brands. In June 2013, to compliment our Fall-Winter collections, Turtle Fur will be introducing an all new Turtle Fur Spring-Summer Fish & Outdoor Collection based upon our tremendously successful Comfort Shell ™ line. This collection will expand over the next few years into a full technical, lifestyle and fashion headwear line catering to the outdoor market.

The ideal candidate is a relentless sales professional who approaches every appointment with excitement about the brands, the product, and with a well-thought-out game plan for that customer. This person (or group) loves what they do, loves to visit dealers in their stores, understands the market and is excited with new product, markets and opening new doors.


Qualifications:
- Currently calls on Snowsports and Outdoor dealers.
- Travels the territory extensively.
- Attends regional rep shows for both snowsports, outdoor, and buying groups.
- Attends national trade shows including SIA and winter and Summer OR.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Ability to make (Women’s, Men’s and Kids) recommendations and write orders for customers as needed.
- Stays connected to accounts and targets throughout the year.
- Knows the account base in the territory while constantly looking for new opportunities.


Expectations:
- Actively sell and service new and existing accounts.
- Double the sales in territory within two years with existing dealers and new.
- Maintain consistent communication with both sales management and customer service throughout the year on a very timely basis.
- Continually invest in your business.
- Provide feedback and insight from the field to sales management and product development.
- Submit seasonal sales plan and review with Sales Management.
- Attend sales meetings.
