Turtle Fur Supports Special Olympics Vermont
March 22nd 2016 – Update to 2/2/2016 Press Release - Turtle Fur has raised and donated over $1,400 for Special Olympics Vermont throughout the month of February 2016. The proceeds were generated from Turtle Fur’s onsite hat sales at the 20th Annual Penguin Plunge in Lake Champlain, combined with their Month of Giving Campaign of a $1.00 donation per item sold on www.turtlefur.com from February 2nd through 29th. Over 75 participants at the 2016 Penguin Plunge event also received a custom Turtle Fur Back Country Bandana boasting the Special Olympics logo, donated in-kind from Turtle Fur as an incentive prize for fundraisers. Special Olympics Vermont is a chapter of the global Special Olympics organization with a common mission to help persons with intellectual disabilities participate as productive and respected members of society, offering them a fair opportunity to develop and demonstrate their skills and talents through sports training and competition, and by increasing the public’s awareness of their capabilities and needs.
February 2nd 2016 – From February 2nd through 29th, Turtle Fur will donate $1.00 for every product purchased to Special Olympics Vermont as part of Turtle Fur’s Month of Giving campaign. Special Olympics Vermont is a chapter of the global Special Olympics organization and their missions share the same goals: To help persons with intellectual disabilities participate as productive and respected members of society, by offering them a fair opportunity to develop and demonstrate their skills and talents through sports training and competition, and by increasing the public’s awareness of their capabilities and needs.
