The circumference of my head with ears is 22 inches, and the regular size fits perfectly. It has a little more room on the top so I can pull the beanie down over my eyes when I'm walking into the wind.

This is my third Turtlefur Beanie. My second one, also a Lars Beanie, got lost at Costco and I guess someone loved it a lot because it never got sent to Lost & Found and I looked everywhere and went back to their lost & found for a couple of weeks. I got another Lars Beanie, but this time the red one, and I wear it all the time, inside and out. It's been a particularly cold winter in California and no matter how cold it is outside, the single-layer of wool keeps my head warm, and if your head is warm, you're warm! Now my wife wants one for our upcoming trip to Europe this spring.
